Tequila Herradura, formally known as Grupo Industrial Herradura, is a brand of best-selling Mexican tequila distilled in Amatitan, Jalisco, Mexico. Founded in 1870 by Felix Lopex, the brand remained in the family for over 125 years until it was finally sold to US-based liquor manufacturer Brown-Forman, renowned for its family of brands that include Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Named “Best Distillery of 2007”, Herradura has grown to become an internationally recognized brand and is sold in 136 countries. Herradura's product line-up includes several varietals such as Blanco Suave and Reposado, as well as the brand’s premium Extra Anejo Seleccion Suprema; tequila aged for 49 months in select oak barrels, originally released in 1995. Marketed as 100% Mexican tequila, every Herradura bottle label includes a certificate of authenticity from the government of Mexico – clearly demonstrating the legacy and tradition offered with each release.
